Order received late and buyer refunded
Summary: The thread discusses an order that was delivered late, resulting in a refund to the buyer.
Hello, I shipped an order that was marked as lost and the buyer requested a refund
the buyer was refunded and now the order has been delivered
On the order page it says delivered and refunded
I contacted eBay and they wrote this to me:
thank you for contacting us regarding the dispute for item 326952557959.
I understand that you wish to appeal our decision and I am happy to provide assistance.
I am aware that you shipped the item to the customer and that it is now showing as delivered. However, when we reviewed the dispute, the shipping code indicated that the item had been in transit for more than 10 days.
Please note that it is sellers' responsibility to ensure timely delivery to their customers. Since the buyer did not receive the item after the expected delivery date or during the dispute, we cannot reverse our decision.
I suggest that you contact the carrier because they may be able to compensate you given the long wait and delivery times.
I also advise you to continue communicating with the buyer, as often issues related to eBay transactions are caused by simple misunderstandings and a friendly conversation can be decisive.
To protect yourself in the future, we recommend that you do the following
Specify a realistic expected delivery date in your listings
Use a shipping service with reliable tracking
Participate in and always respond to any open disputes against you
I understand that this is not the answer you were hoping to receive, but I hope I have provided you with a thorough explanation.

Mentore6 months agoAs explained to you, the buyer requested a refund because of the excessive delay.
Only if the item is of high value, you could ask the buyer to return it at your expense and, in the event of refusal, you could proceed with a complaint for embezzlement.
