PACKAGE DAMAGED BY COURIER
Good morning, I bought a computer for 260 euros, it was supposed to be a fantastic Christmas gift. I didn’t pick it up myself and it wasn’t signed for with reservation. When I went to open it I saw that the box had a big dent, I made a video while opening it, and unfortunately the dent also damaged the item, which got chipped in one spot on the back, in short, it was damaged and I can no longer give it as a gift. The seller offered me 50 euros, but anyway for 210 euros I would not have bought a defective item, let alone give it as a gift. Honestly, considering the damage also in relation to the fact that it was meant to be a gift, we’re in the middle of the holidays and I won’t be able to buy something similar again in time, and all because of the courier! I’d like your advice. I also feel sorry for the seller who throughout all this has shown himself willing to help, but he doesn’t have another item to send me. It should be the courier who compensates me!
Ebay told me that they step in if after 3 days we don’t reach an agreement, but they couldn’t tell me how. Does anyone know? What do you advise me to do? Is it possible that ebay pays, even in part, out of its own pocket? Thanks

Mentore2 years agoHello,
in these cases it's the seller who has to compensate you, ebay certainly won't...
So it's your choice, whether to accept the refund of €50 or open a return request for item not as described and everything will fall on the seller, return shipping costs included.
Kind regards.
