Good morning, I bought an item from the USA through eBay international shipping.My address is correct on both the eBay invoice and the PayPal one.Today the courier (Poste Italiane) called me to warn me about the delivery.... in a city at the opposite end of my region.My name, phone number, street and house number are correct, but the city is wrong.And yet I remember that in the first few days the tracking showed the right city. Both Poste Italiane support and eBay support tell me that the sender must provide a release code to DHL, which handled the international shipment. I had once spoken about addresses with the sender because at first PayPal had, for some reason, used an old address of mine that had long been deleted from my account. On that occasion he told me he couldn’t correct the address because he simply can’t see it, since he ships directly to the international shipping center in Chicago and not to the sender, I quote:" We can't see or have no control over where the packages go. They handle all of this." He then canceled the order and I bought it again, this time with the correct address.At the post office they tell me that packages with the wrong address are held for only 5 days before being sent back to the sender, now I’m afraid that this package, 150 km away from me, will go back to the USA. Can anyone tell me how I should go about this, where the sender can find this code or what the code is called in English?Thanks in advance.
