Package not delivered
Summary: eutropia shared an issue with a package shipped via Poste Italiane using eBay’s shipping service. The package was not delivered because the address was considered incorrect, although the recipient insists it is correct. Poste explained that the name was missing from the intercom, requiring the recipient to pick it up at the SDA office. eutropia is wondering who will cover the shipping costs if the package is not delivered, while eBay will refund the buyer.
Hi everyone, I sold an item and shipped it via Poste Italiane using eBay shipping service. The package now shows as not delivered for two days in a row because of an incorrect address. The recipient writes to me saying that the address is correct. I call Poste and they tell me that the package was not delivered because the name was missing on the intercom and that the recipient has to go pick it up at the SDA office. This is the first time something like this has happened to me. If the package isn’t picked up, I imagine it would come back to me. At that point I imagine eBay would refund the buyer. But who refunds me for the shipping, since it’s not my fault if the package wasn’t delivered?

Mentore2 days agoIf they write that it wasn't collected because they couldn't find the recipient, the buyer will not be entitled to a refund.
The goods remain theirs and they will have to decide whether to accept a partial refund (paying you the shipping) or ask you for a new shipment at their own expense (after putting the name on the doorbell).
bye
