Package lost in Great Britain

Hello,
I recently had a bad experience with a package sent to me from Great Britain and lost in an eBay distribution center since November 10th. Once the maximum expected delivery time had passed (Nov 25), I filed a claim and was promptly fully reimbursed.
Okay, the refund is fine (absolutely fair), but I still find it incredible that neither I nor the seller managed to get the slightest support from eBay when asking where on earth the package ended up! The seller relies on a service called "ebay global shipping program" and the tracking code given to the seller only goes as far as their distribution hub in Great Britain (North West Midlands MC). Then they give you another one when they ship it from there to Italy (or elsewhere). Coincidentally, they lost the package right there, in that gray area without tracking. Anyone else had the same problem? Has anyone ever eventually received the lost package anyway?

Mentore1 year agoIf they refunded you, it means they assisted you and admitted that the Pitney Bowes logistics center lost your package.
In fact, to be more precise, with the refund that item is no longer yours and if you were to receive it, you would have to pay for it again or return it.

OP1 year agomaybe you misunderstood me, my intention isn’t to be a sly Italian and not pay, I was asking whether there have been cases of packages reported lost and then found and delivered. is it true that if they do find them, once they’ve refunded you, they destroy them?

Mentore1 year agoSince they became property of Pitney Bowes, they decide what to do with them (destruction, donation or sale).
