Lost package
Hi everyone, on 6/02 I sent a package containing an item worth about €110 sold to another private seller through eBay. I handled the shipment myself through Packlink, choosing Poste Italiane as the carrier. The package has been stuck for almost a month now at the Lamezia Terme postal center, and I’ve now lost hope of seeing it delivered to the recipient, who quite rightly is asking for a refund. I filed a complaint with Packlink myself, and here’s the news: the refund, even if the loss is acknowledged by the post office, will be €1 per kg of lost goods; this obviously causes me a huge financial loss. The question is: is there absolutely no way to recover the value of the lost goods (which can be proven through the eBay transaction receipt)? Is it possible that Poste can afford to lose a parcel (assuming there was no wrongdoing) and come away economically unscathed, even though it was paid to provide a service?
thanks in advance for your help
Gabriele

Mentore3 years agoIf you haven't paid for shipping insurance in advance as well (not the one Packlink "says" it offers), there's no doubt that it's impossible to get out of it unscathed.
Best regards.
