I had to sell 2 items, a kids' mini motorbike and a stove; when I listed the items, no message appeared, and after 2 weeks I received a request for a payment to eBay of €6 for the listing fee.
This is insane. It took me a while to understand what was going on by reading a hidden page as long as the Divine Comedy; motorcycles and mini motorbikes require €6!!!! This is not right because the warning should have appeared while I was creating the listing, especially since in 20 years on eBay it was the first time I had ever sold anything, a crazy situation.
Now you want €6 for something I didn't sell; the only one making a deal here is you.
I removed the items right away and now I will also proceed to remove my account; I'll use other free channels.
Now I understand why eBay has lost a lot over these years to other sites, Amazon and others have overtaken you because you have no responsibility.

Mentore1 year agoWell, actually if you notice... evidently not... in every listing you’ll find written: "The seller assumes full responsibility for putting the item up for sale."
This responsibility means that anyone using eBay should read the rules BEFORE using it... but unfortunately the opposite always happens: people use it without restraint and then complain when things go wrong.
Anyway, try selling on Amazon... then we’ll talk again.

I sold the bike on subito.it with no fees.
you need to understand that I’m a private individual and not a professional seller, so I don’t have a lawyer and an accountant to have analyze all the fine print in the rules.
In theory you’re absolutely right, so since I can’t be bothered to read the rules, I’m going to delete my account now and live peacefully even without eBay.
