Payment completed successfully but order not validated | Questions and answers among users

This is the strangest thing that’s ever happened to me on eBay and not only that..I buy a phone (or rather, I try to buy a phone...) . I go to checkout and decide to use PayPal. The PayPal payment goes through and I’m redirected to the eBay cart where, to my great surprise, a red error appears saying "payment not successful". After a second I get a confirmation on my phone of the PayPal payment and the charge to my card, but the order on eBay still isn’t there and the item I wanted to buy is in the cart. Now I’m stuck in limbo because: the payment was made, but it isn’t associated with any order. PayPal won’t let me cancel the transaction yet because it hasn’t been processed yet, same with the bank. On eBay I can’t do anything, and on PayPal either. But I paid. I tried contacting the seller directly, hoping they’ll reply and understand the problem...
