I’m not a professional seller, but I’ve sold a few items on Ebay in the past and I’ve never had any problems.
But these days, I made a sale, shipped the item the same day the buyer paid, and the buyer received the package 3 days after it was sent.
The buyer contacted me saying everything was fine, confirmed the payment, and even left a review, but then, to my surprise, I see that “the funds are on hold” by Ebay for 15 days.
I often sell on another site and as soon as the buyer confirms that everything is okay, the money gets credited to my account.
I’d like to know.... But is this legal?? It doesn’t seem like it to me. Also because when I buy, they take the money right away. Why when I sell do I have to wait 15/ 30 days to receive it??

If you had read the rules - that mysterious thing - you would know that for new and/or infrequent sellers there is an initial hold on the money of about 15 days.
Whether it's legal or not, you accepted it when you listed the items for sale.
