"Blocked" payment, but now the funds are available... (anomaly?)
Summary: fasamix raises a concern about a payment that was initially "blocked" but now shows as available, questioning if this is an anomaly. marioelegio responds, though the specific content is not detailed in the discussion record.
Hi everyone, I'm seeing something odd with a sale.
A few days ago I received the notification of “funds on hold,” since the goods had not arrived at their destination (Germany area). In fact, the shipment tracking is still in Italy and it still is to this day. I got in touch with the Italian post office to ask for clarification....after a few days I go back to look at the eBay page for the item, but everything appears “regular” with the payment available. What I wanted to understand.... did the seller not notify me that the goods had arrived and in any case release the funds? I wanted your opinions on this. Is there a maximum time for the buyer to claim that the shipment did not arrive at its destination? Thanks everyone for the clarification.

OP1 year agoHi, so you mean that they have unlocked them because I’m “reliable”, but I actually still have no idea whether the package has arrived at its destination or not. So I assume I can request the “blocking” of the buyer’s money again. Keep in mind that the issue happened about 12 days ago....

Mentore1 year agoThe buyer has, on eBay, 30 days (from the presumed delivery deadline date) to open a refund claim for an item not received.
However, the payment methods offer much longer protections.
If the buyer does not open a claim, the release of the funds depends only on your eBay reliability: 2 days for regular sellers and up to 15 days for new or infrequent ones.
