hello everyone, could I know if buying a product outside the EU countries when paying, through paypal, the amount automatically appears with VAT??? Or is it paid at another time??? Thanks, Antonella

It depends on the amount.

If the amount to pay for the item and shipping is less than 150 euros, no duties apply and VAT is collected by the platform. If these have not already been paid in advance as well, the courier may ask at delivery only for its fees for customs clearance assistance (between 5 and 20 euros depending on the value and the courier).
If the amount to pay for the item and shipping is more than 150 euros, duties apply and VAT can only be calculated after customs (VAT is also paid on the duties), so it is collected by the courier. If you're in the first case and they ask you to pay VAT twice, just have the courier issue a receipt (if it's the mail carrier, just say you don't have any cash and to come pick up the package at the post office). With the receipt for the double payment, eBay will refund the amount paid in excess.
