Payment sent to a no longer active card – what happens now?
Summary: luman_9924 raised a question about what happens when a payment is sent to a card that is no longer active.
Hi everyone,
I just sold an item on eBay and I received the confirmation email saying the payment has been sent, but I noticed that the funds were directed to an old card (linked to an account that I no longer use).
As soon as I noticed, I updated the payment method on eBay with the new card I normally use.
I was wondering:
- What happens in these cases?
- Will the payment bounce back and be automatically sent to the new card?
- Do I need to contact support, or does the system handle everything automatically?
