Payment received, but item already sold
I received a payment for an item I had put up for sale, but unfortunately I sold that item today on another site. What should I do to let them know that the item has already been sold and to get back the money they paid?? Please help me, this is the first time this has happened to me, I mean, more than one request at once.

Mentore3 years agoAs soon as it was sold, you should have closed the listing.
Now you need to cancel the sale and refund the buyer by adding a credit card.
Then when your funds are released they’ll be paid into your bank account and eBay selling fees will be credited back to you.

You'll only lose 35 cents and a warning for your improper behavior. The first warning has no effect, but watch out not to get any more.

OP3 years agosite so I didn’t even have time to delete it, because everything happened
all at once, I handed over the item and then I received the payment here.
I didn’t do it on purpose, I didn’t have the time... I actually tried to
cancel the order, but it told me to refund the buyer at my own expense,
so I was afraid of making a mess and then losing everything, because
honestly this is the first time this has happened to me. Can I give eBay the
reason for all this??? If so, to whom, who do I need to contact?? Thanks for the
quick reply, I wish you a good day.

Mentore3 years agoI doubt ebay cares, they give you a menu where you choose the reason.
If you want to try talking to someone, you’ll find the link at the bottom of the attached page related to the cancellation.
