Paying VAT in the USA
Paying $89.00 VAT for a vinyl purchase coming from the USA, Texas, doesn’t seem right to me!!

It depends only on the value of the vinyl and on the trade agreements between the USA and the EU.
For purchases with a total value over 150 euros, ebay can't collect the VAT, since customs duties also have to be paid.
So customs duties, VAT, and fees are collected by the courier; the collection can be prepaid or on delivery.
