paypal, can I sleep peacefully?
good day, I just made a purchase of an item from a private seller in Germany, I’ve never bought on eBay and it’s my first time.. I admit I’m a bit afraid of the scams\frauds going around.. so to be safe I paid with PayPal.. can I be calm about anything? I’m afraid I won’t receive the item or that the item I receive won’t be the one described (the description explained the reason for the sale and the condition of the item). can I be calm and relax for the next 10 days? 😂

OP3 years agoGood morning, yesterday the seller sent me a message via eBay saying that in 4\5 days they will arrange the shipment because they are away on a business trip. I asked which day it will be shipped, but they still haven't replied. warning sign or normal? let's say that if I put something up for sale, I make sure I can ship it right away, in my opinion .. has anything similar happened to you too?

as a private seller, evidently he also has other work commitments...
If in the listing he correctly indicated the processing times that he told you, I would say there is no cause for concern... no point insisting on asking for information, for many it can only be a "nuisance".
So arm yourself with patience and check the expected delivery date... only if it passes without you receiving the package, only then can you start to worry...

Mentore3 years agoBy now you've already made the purchase, so worrying now is pretty pointless.
On eBay you can buy only with PayPal or with a credit card, and both of these payment methods provide an additional layer of protection that adds to eBay's buyer guarantee.
In case of problems, it's always better to start with eBay's procedures (for item not received or item not as described) and use the payment-method dispute only if there are problems with the eBay procedure.

If you follow the procedures carefully, eBay will help you resolve any problems. In the event of errors in eBay's procedures, there is PayPal or the credit card, which have longer-term protections (so it's correct to keep them as a second option).
