Why does eBay tell me that I have to pay for shipping?
Help!! Sorry, it’s my first sale through eBay and this might seem like a silly question, but now I have no idea how to get out of this! I just completed a sale on eBay, specifying that the shipping costs (7 Euro) are to be paid by the buyer. The eBay notification confirms that the buyer has duly paid the full amount (5 Euro for the item + 7 for shipping). Now I should prepare the label and... eBay “says” that I should pay for shipping! How is that possible? Thanks!

Mentore1 year agoIt seems obvious to me that you have to pay for the shipping, since the buyer paid you for it.
When you posted the listing, you stated that you know how ebay works, and so you also know that all new or infrequent sellers receive payments from ebay only after 15 days.
If you have received payment confirmation, you will have to ship at your own expense to the address ebay gave you. In 15 days, you will receive in the bank account linked to your account the payment for the item and shipping (minus the fees ebay takes).
