WHY ARE BUYERS ON EBAY ALWAYS SUPER PROTECTED ?????
I sold a vinyl record to a customer in Vicenza with UPS courier; after a few days this gentleman contacts me and, sending me photos of the package and the vinyl, although blurry, claims that it was delivered open and the vinyl damaged, and that the courier had left it in the garden, which is not true, and I’ll tell you why later, so he asked me for a refund. I should point out that this request was made to me on WhatsApp and by email, and not through eBay’s official channel. I checked the UPS site with the tracking; besides the usual information about the day and time of delivery, UPS on the same screen, on one side, entering the buyer’s postal code, shows the delivery photo and this delivery was made not in the garden but in the patio of his building. THE QUESTION IS: DESPITE UPS'S PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE OF THE DELIVERY, EXPOSING THIS PSEUDO-BUYER'S LIE ABOUT THE GARDEN, WHY DOES EBAY AGREE WITH HIM ??? BLOCKING MY FUNDS ? SEE PHOTO OF MY INTACT PACKAGE

But also, if you write that the refund request was made through a NON-official channel, how can eBay have ruled against you???
If eBay has blocked your funds, it’s because there must be a dispute underway!

OP1 year agoThe controversy, he opened it when more than once he asked me for a refund via WhatsApp, and I refused, and I also forwarded this WhatsApp messaging to eBay, but eBay didn’t give a damn and considered it, they had already decided on the refund, so with photographic evidence and messages outside eBay, they count for less than the uncertain and only verbal evidence of this guy. Well done eBay, so much for seller protection, it’s all just talk.

Mentore1 year agoFrom the photo, how could you possibly say the vinyl was in perfect condition?
What can be inferred from the photo is that the package was left outside and that the recipient was unable either to refuse it or to accept it with reservation.
Then it would also be interesting to understand how the buyer got your phone number, if private sellers are forbidden from giving out this information?
