Is it possible to exclude the Canary Islands from shipping destinations?

It seems impossible to ship to the Canary Islands for under 32 euros and the related hassles with the extra-EU shipping documentation.

Apparently it is classified as an EU country and in the shipping manager it is also impossible to add it to the exclusion list since it is, in fact, included in Spain; how do you manage this?

You can't exclude them, but you can very likely add a surcharge to shipping... just like it's possible to do for disadvantaged areas in Italy.

Unfortunately, it can’t be handled, since the Canary Islands are part of the EU but not of the customs territory of the European Community. https://www.adm.gov.it/portale/web/saisa/-/territori-compresi-e-non-nel-territorio-doganale

So for customs, documentation equivalent to what’s needed to ship to a non-EU country is required.

In general, couriers distinguish the EU part of Spain as mainland Spain to differentiate it from the rest.
