possible scam?
Hello, I recently created this account for the sole purpose of buying and selling Pokémon cards.
I put several products up for sale, including some packs priced at 12 euros each; getting to the point.
A user, about an hour ago, bought 6 of my products, for a total of 81 euros (shipping included), what concerns me is that the user created the account on the same day he bought my products, entering every possible piece of info (email, address, and phone number), after the purchase he even added a bio and a profile picture.
I’m asking you whether this could be a possible "scam", since you hear about so many of them, it’s better to be on the safe side.
I should point out that I haven’t shipped the order yet and I spoke to him directly, but I’d prefer to get a verdict from you as well.
Thanks

Mentore2 years agoHello,
as I always reply in these cases, all of us have registered at some point... all of us started from zero... maybe your listings caught the user's interest...
So, since you can't choose which buyers can purchase your items, I'd say it's actually more likely to receive scams from someone who knows how to get around and is therefore experienced.
The choice is yours... remember that if you cancel, you may expose yourself to negative feedback and penalties from eBay.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoGood evening,
thank you for responding.
At this point, what could I do to prevent a possible scam?
since I'm just starting out, it would be a serious loss.
I was thinking of calling Ebay customer service, asking for possible help/advice on how I could protect myself from any scams;
In addition, I will take photos and record the packaging moment to have as much evidence as possible on my side.
I ask you if there are any other means and if you have any further advice to give me.
Thanks and have a nice evening

Mentore2 years agoIt’s not to demoralize you... but unfortunately, nothing.
If you run into the classic "not exactly honest" user, there’s no way around it and not even photos or videos will help you.
Protect yourself with tracked shipments and proof of delivery... there’s nothing else you can do.
Kind regards.
