Can I delete my account in my situation?
Hello.
For a couple of years I operated as a private seller, then, following a lost dispute, I incurred a debt to eBay.
Since I haven't been able to pay for two months, eBay is telling me that it will hand over my debt situation to a debt collection agency.
Now, I know full well that in cases like this it isn't possible to cancel, because the account is subject to restrictions.
However, I wonder, will I be able to cancel my eBay account when I am handed over to a debt collection agency? At that point, the payment channels will be different.

you can only cancel your account with ebay once you resolve the matter with debt collection... and once debt collection communicates the solution to the problem to ebay.
Besides, I don't understand the difficulty in paying... if you can't do it now, how will you be able to do it with all the extra costs added to your account?

The question you’re asking is correct, with all the added expenses it will be even more difficult. But what alternative do I have? Finding myself in a situation of poverty, I don’t see any solutions. I hope the debt collection agency will grant me some form of installment plan compatible with my situation - something ebay cannot grant me. Thanks
