Italian Post returned the envelope from the UK to the sender without giving a reason
Summary: ftw_x9 expressed disappointment because Poste Italiane returned an envelope from the United Kingdom without providing any explanation for the reason for the rejection.
Hello everyone,
on May 6, Poste Italiane tried to deliver me a registered letter (which according to them is actually a regular Posta 1) without leaving the usual slip/receipt so I could pick it up at the Post Office in the mailbox. That registered letter was sent back to the sender, and now it appears to be in Milan to be sent back to England. I contacted PI’s customer service three times and got two different answers - one of them told me the communication straight, which are as follows: the postman did not leave any indication of why he sent the envelope back to the sender; 2 - the postman sent your envelope back, which is not a registered letter but a regular shipment, but we don't know anything else...
Today I will try again both at my local post office and at PI’s customer service.
I ask whoever can answer me:
does anyone know what this story means or have they had a similar experience?;
Does anyone know if there is a customer service for eBay?;
If the envelope is being returned to the sender and has been tampered with, with the contents missing or damaged, how can this matter be resolved?;
Could it simply be missing postage?
Thanks for any replies.
