Purchase price 138.50 dollars (won auction) USA without duties and taxes on module price max offer 168
I won an auction at a price of 138.50 dollars. I had set my maximum bid price at around 168 dollars. The listing said shipping costs were around 20 dollars and zero duties and taxes. In the payment form I find the amount of my maximum bid. They are not available in chat and the seller is being vague, saying that e bay charges fees or that it's the euro-dollar exchange rate and other random nonsense. Could you help me? Thanks

Mentore3 years agoBy law, on all purchases made outside the EU you have to pay VAT VAT. Then in Italy you’ll pay customs fees to the courier and maybe duties too.
In some cases, in the US and UK they use the GSP program and customs taxes are calculated, shown, and paid in advance. In your case that doesn’t happen (that was what the 0 on duties and taxes referred to) and you have to pay them separately.
So (138.50 + 20) +22% VAT = 193.37
There will also be exchange commissions (about 2%) and since the total is well over 150 euros, upon arrival you’ll also have to pay duties.
