Problem with the sale of a MacBook
On August 25 I sold, and later shipped, a 2009 MacBook (the white ones). On the delivery day, September 3, the buyer saw fit to open a return request because the computer is "old" and can’t be updated to the new versions, entering as the reason "damaged item," even though the listing clearly states that the computer is from 2009 and that the latest installable version is El Capitan.
How can I solve this?

Mentore1 year agoYou take back the item at your own expense and within the time limits set by eBay, otherwise you lose both money and the item. Then maybe you get the negative feedback removed; "dishonest" is offensive and inappropriate.

OP1 year agoWell, I didn't do anything wrong, he's the one who didn't know what he was buying and didn't read the description

Mentore1 year agoThe problem is that he opened the return process saying the PC is damaged and didn’t say that he just doesn’t like it.
Nobody is going to go check the actual condition of your MacBook, so they’ll almost certainly side with the buyer. If you don’t want to risk losing money and the item, follow Cizeta’s advice.

It's pointless to beat around the bush, if you want to minimize the damage follow cizeta's advice!

Mentore1 year agoAs I told you and as I constantly repeat in the community, you lose money and the item, because eBay is completely skewed in favor of the buyer, and of course it's not the only one.
