Problem contacting a seller after purchase
I bought a new phone from an official Xiaomi seller. A month after purchase (so outside the deadline for any possible return), the phone turned off and won't turn back on. I contacted the seller to request a purchase invoice, which was never given to me, and to ask what the procedure was for making the warranty claim. After several messages, I still haven't received a response. What can I do?

Mentore3 years agoI’m afraid you bought a phone from a Chinese seller... there’s nothing Italian about it.
So as such, the phone has no warranty.
You can try opening a dispute on PayPal’s site if you paid that way, or a chargeback on the card.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoSo there's no way to make the warranty valid at all?

Mentore3 years agoXiaomi EU does not recognize these items that were purchased in non-EU countries and then imported by the buyers, so it does not carry out warranty repairs on them.
If you know someone knowledgeable about Chinese commercial law...... You bought the phone in China, so you are subject to their regulations.

OP3 years agotechnically isn't it a bit incorrect that they don't mention all this at the time of purchase, especially having an account called ***? should I report it to ebay?

Mentore3 years agoIt really wouldn't help at all to report it... and then what would you report it for?
You were the one who went "virtually" to China to buy the phone... and in every listing you can find the details of the professional seller, so the registered office... whatever name it has... if you didn't notice it, unfortunately it's nobody's fault!
Best regards.

Mentore3 years agoThe seller's registered office is clearly written in all their listings, also at the time of purchase.
