Issue with refund request
Summary: carmindichi_0 shared a problem about an order they placed that was held up for customs clearance, with DHL requesting tax information. After ignoring these requests, thinking it might be a scam, they found themselves having to pay a high fee to get the item released. They رفضed the offer and the product was returned to the sender, with the risk of not getting a full refund from eBay. They’re asking for advice on how to proceed.
I placed an order and after a few days I received an email requesting customs clearance, along with a request for my personal tax details from DHL. Thinking it was a scam, I didn’t reply, and after a month they called me saying that if I wanted the product I had to pay more than the value of the product itself to clear customs. When I refused, the product was sent back to the sender, and I risk not getting a refund because eBay, for the return, told me to attach the label to the product, but I never had the product. What can I do?

Mentore2 weeks agoNothing, you can do nothing but accept the situation.
By refusing the package, you lost any chance of getting a refund.
You learn from your mistakes.
Kind regards.
