Problems with the auction end timer

Lately I’ve been noticing, in auctions from various sellers, that the timer showing the time remaining until the auction ends is really "erratic." I don’t know whether it’s a problem that affects only me or whether it has happened to others too. Basically, if, for example, there’s 1 minute left until the auction ends and I want to place a bid, a window opens where the remaining time has already dropped to 25 seconds, then it stalls for a second and resumes counting at 40, so you never really know what the exact time to follow is for the auction’s end. Many times it happens that the bid I place is beyond the useful time and the auction has already ended. Other times I make an offer that gets outbid but I can’t bid again because it shows me that the auction has already ended, while there are other bids several seconds later and the auction still appears to be over. I can’t figure out what causes this.. Can anyone explain or give me advice on how to solve this situation? Thanks in advance. Dionisio
