Problems with foreign return
Good evening,
Today I received an item (a video game) from Prague; however, the product I received does not match the description in the listing; the seller writes that the item is new and sealed, but he sent me a non-original version, since the cover is printed by hand, and it was also not sealed as I had been told. I thought he was a reliable seller since he has 96% positive feedback calculated on thousands of shipments. Unfortunately, I found that only some users (as in my case) noticed this problem. So I contacted the seller to start a return, which he accepted.
However, since it is an international shipment, he told me that he is not able to provide me with a prepaid shipping label, which is why I will have to bear the return costs, though he said he is willing to reimburse me for that. Seeing another feedback from an Italian user who had the same problem as me with another product, it seems the seller never refunded the money needed for the return. If in my case he were to refuse to reimburse me the shipping cost in advance, how should I behave? I refuse to pay more than twenty euros for shipping (based on the calculation on the Italian postal service website) for an attempt to scam me. I should add that I paid with PayPal.

Mentore3 years agoYou absolutely do not have to pay anything in advance. https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/return-shipping?id=4066&st=3&pos=1&query=Spese%20di%20spedizione%20della%20restituzione%20-%20acquirenti&intent=spese%20di%20reso&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1152#section3 If he doesn't want to send you a prepaid label (he could buy one from any broker operating in Italy), that's his problem.
If the four days provided for in the procedure have already passed, ask ebay to step in: https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/returns-refunds/chiedi-ebay-di-intervenire-acquirenti?id=4701&st=3&pos=1&query=Chiedi%20a%20eBay%20di%20intervenire%20-%20acquirenti&intent=chiedi%20ad%20e&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1382
