Problem with a purchase
Hello, I’m contacting you for some info:
yesterday I bought a video card and paid with PayPal (3 installments).
today the seller contacted me saying that he has problems with the current account linked to eBay and everything will be canceled on the 14th… should I trust him?
and if so, are the money (in this case the first installment) returned right away?

OP3 years agoAfter 5 days, still nothing. The seller has already accepted the dispute for days and PayPal is waiting for eBay to refund the money from the seller's funds. Truly ridiculous.
The sad thing is that he didn't even ship it, so it's an easy thing to deal with.. But apparently you have to wait weeks to cancel a simple order.

Mentore3 years agoYou need to contact Paypal... you took out the financing with them, not with ebay, so it’s entirely at their discretion.
If you want, update the community on what happens... so we know what happens in these cases too.

OP3 years agoPaypal sends me back to eBay... If I go into history, refund request, it explicitly tells me to contact the eBay seller
