Good morning everyone
First of all, I’ve been a user since 2008 with 100% positive feedback.....I saw an ad selling a clearly counterfeit chainsaw, I reported the ad to eBay and they rejected my report saying that in their view the ad complied with eBay’s rules, I appealed, attaching a photo of the original chainsaw and they also rejected the appeal, reiterating that for them everything was fine. How is it possible that eBay doesn’t protect users at all from fake products? I find this outrageous, does anyone know if there are more effective channels? Thanks for your help.

Mentore2 months agoIt must be a holder of the sales rights (an official authorized seller registered on the Ve.r.o. portal) to make the report.
If you are absolutely sure of what you claim (there is such a thing as the crime of slander), you can report it to the guarantor or to the gdf.

OP2 months agoThanks Mario, I also know these channels, but since there is the possibility of making a report as a user I at least expect Ebay to check my claims, documented with photos for comparison, anyway slander is an offense that consists of falsely accusing a person you know to be innocent of a crime; here the seller is not innocent, because the product is clearly counterfeit, zero feedback and a price less than half the original, in addition to the obvious differences in the chainsaw.
Thanks anyway
