Deceptive eBay advertising about the warranty
Item ordered and paid for on 31.08.2023. Final delivery deadline passed in vain (09.10.2023). I am asking for a refund of the amount, because I have not received the item. First eBay replies that I have to wait until 14.10.2023, then asks me whether the problem is resolved. I reply no and ask again for a refund of the price (a modest amount, about € 65,00). eBay customer service, in its infinite wisdom, suspends my dispute: now I have to wait until 24.10.2023 because the seller provided the tracking, which shows how the shipment went missing (that is, stolen) in Milan right during processing at the international exchange center managed by eBay. I have kept written proof of everything I am stating.
If in the meantime the Holy Spirit does not descend, how can I make use of the purchase guarantee? Empty promise? ... But when it comes time to pay, I feel sick and you know why...

OP2 years agoI already asked eBay to step in. Support suspended the dispute because they need to look for other documents. But it's all just BULLSHIT to waste time and make users lose patience. The item arrived in Italy from Japan on 21.09.2023; eBay doesn't give a damn.
HYPOCRITICAL ADVERTISING: so much for purchase protection...

OP2 years agoHOW DO I ASK EBAY TO STEP IN? SHOULD I CONTACT SUPPORT? WE’RE BACK TO SQUARE ONE: CHUTES AND LADDERS

Mentore2 years agoThere is no international exchange center of ebay... since it's a parcel, therefore foreign, ebay allows the time that is rightly needed for delivery of that type, because many times impatient buyers open reports without knowing that the timelines can be long...
So be patient until the date indicated by ebay, then follow Mario's advice.
Kind regards.

Mentore2 years agoHonestly, this is the first time I’ve heard of an international exchange center in Milan run by ebay.
Anyway, be very careful about the 21-day limit from when you opened your request, and before that date, ask ebay again to step in.
bye

OP2 years agoYes, I've already had the pleasure: rather than decide on the dispute,
eBay closes after three weeks with that despicable excuse...
