Different purchase offers from the same seller and request for combined shipping.
Summary: cathoundacqua is discussing changes in the way eBay handles purchase proposals from the same seller. Previously, there was an "Accept proposal" button that allowed items to be added to the cart at discounted prices with combined shipping. Now, options are limited to "Proceed to payment" or "Reject offer," requiring separate shipping fees for each item. The seller suggested adding items at full price to the cart and requesting combined shipping, but this results in an incorrect full-price invoice. cathoundacqua feels the situation is unfair and attributes the issue to eBay's policy changes aimed at ensuring immediate payments. They are seeking advice on handling the situation.
I seem to remember that once, when I received purchase offers from a seller, there was an "Accept offer" button. The item ended up discounted in the cart and then was paid for from there. If there were more than one purchase offer from the same seller, they were added up in the cart and then it was possible to ask the seller for combined shipping. Now no: each offer only gives two options: "Go to checkout" and "Decline the offer". And you have to pay shipping costs for each offer. I wrote to the seller explaining my problem. He wrote back telling me to put the items in the cart at full price and request combined shipping. I was expecting to receive an invoice with the items discounted according to the purchase offers and instead, naturally, the invoice shows the 5 items at full price. That's not right. But it's not all the seller's fault (even though he should have discounted each item on the invoice according to the purchase offers), but above all Ebay's, which, in its rush to avoid possible missed immediate payments, takes away the possibility of proceeding in a sensible way. What should I do? Accept each offer, pay a shipping price for each offer and then ask the seller for a refund? Hmm.

Mentore3 weeks agoIn these cases it has always been a problem.
the following items are not eligible for combined shipping:
Items in the PSA vault
Items listed with local pickup
Most items that require authenticity verification, except for purchases of multiple streetwear clothing items or sneakers of the same type
Items purchased with Make an Offer
(from https://www.ebay.it/help/selling/shipping-items/shipping-rates/offering-combined-shipping?id=4169&st=3&pos=1&query=Offrire%20la%20spedizione%20combinata&intent=spedizione%20combinata&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1130)
This doesn’t mean the seller can’t then give you a partial refund to make up the difference (but that’s a private agreement between you).
