PICKUP POINT not enabled

Why does EBAY allow pickup points that are not enabled to be entered?
Now, since the shipment is untracked, I have no way of knowing where the parcel ended up. What should I do?
It shouldn’t be possible to enter a pickup point that isn’t enabled: how does ebay select pickup points?

OP1 year agoso why does ebay allow you to use a pickup point with the POSTA4 option that isn’t trackable?

Mentore1 year agoeBay wouldn’t even allow untracked mail, which is a risk for both sellers and buyers, but of course it can’t monitor every single listing on the entire marketplace.
In any case, it’s BRT itself, which manages the Fermopoint locations, that doesn’t allow untracked shipments.

OP1 year agoin this case I think however that ebay should not allow the use of a pickup point if the seller does not enter tracking: it would help users not to fall for questionable purchases. Honest sellers should know that pickup points are not enabled for untracked shipments and indicate the best choice to users instead they play on the lack of tracking to get around the refund. I thought the pickup point would protect me from the postman's lack of interest. All I have left is a warning in the feedback if I can't resolve it with the seller. Thanks for your reply

In this specific case, how would ebay have known that the seller would not enter the shipping number?

OP1 year agopost4 is not tracked. it would be enough to include in the shipment description whether it is tracked yes/no.
if YES, the tracking number is necessary to mark the shipment as valid; if NO, it should not be possible to choose the pickup point

Mentore1 year agoI don't think it's eBay's responsibility to do it...
In every listing you find written: "The seller assumes full responsibility for listing the item for sale."... and consequently also for shipping... and I'd add that the buyer is responsible for it too, because they need to be aware of the service they're using.
On the forum you often read about users complaining about extra import costs... it's the same thing... it's the buyer who needs to be aware of what they're doing.
