Purchase of an item that was supposed to be under warranty
Hi everyone. If I buy a camera on eBay, it is written in the item description that everything is under warranty for 2 years. But then once I bought and received the item, I discover that the camera is not under warranty. Is it possible to get a refund of the money spent by sending the item back to the customer? Thank you

Mentore2 years agoProbably the camera does not have a warranty recognized by an EU importer and therefore cannot be taken to a service center in Italy.
You can still try contacting the seller directly, if that is provided for under the laws of that country.

Mentore2 years agoIf you are registered in Italy and you write in English... this makes me think that you are trying to buy an item from a non-EU country... if that’s the case, you are buying a product with no warranty whatsoever.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoThank you very much for the response. The seller sent me the invoices, and the item appears to have been purchased in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in a photography store, which is part of the European Union. Does your point still apply? Thanks again.
