"Images", search, many necessary filters removed
Hi, it’s been several days now that many necessary filters that used to be there are no longer there in the “art and antiques” category, for example in the “paintings” subcategory, and they are essential for searching. Now, only the “condition”, “price”, and “buying format” filters are left.
The search as it is now is useless. Among other things, I can no longer select the origin of the listings; I can no longer exclude certain sellers, which is very important since there are sellers who spam stuff that has nothing to do with the category, or, for example, who have only one type of paintings that I’m not interested in, and now I can no longer exclude the hundreds and hundreds of items they offer, which don’t interest me; I can no longer see sold items, which is essential for anyone who works in online sales, especially on a huge site like eBay. I can’t select buy offers, and all the other filters that are absolutely necessary.
I mean, searching among items is a work tool, both for people who sell and buy for a living, and also for collectors, or people who buy/sell occasionally. I can’t understand what improvement this new setup is for you and your users; maybe there is a point, but for example I checked on eBay Germany, and the filters in the “paintings” category (malerei) are all there, and in fact even more than the ones that were already there on eBay Italy paintings.
Is there a way to talk to a manager? I mean, support between users is fine, but this seems to me like a problem that depends on decisions made by a department head. It would be appropriate for someone to come here and explain, that is, try to explain the reasons for this incomprehensible decision, whose point is absolutely impossible to see.
