Complaint to eBay
I filed a complaint for goods that were paid for but never arrived. It's been almost two months but there's still no word. eBay forwarded me this message: " Item not received dispute closed. You closed this request, you don't need to do anything else" What does it mean? Can someone help me? Thanks.

Mentore2 years agoIt means that you let the maximum time to continue with the dispute pass, and now there’s nothing more you can do with eBay.
You can contact PayPal or do a chargeback with your credit card

OP2 years agoI don't think so. Ebay communicated to me the information I mentioned on the same day I made the request. On the other hand, Ebay says that first you have to write to the seller reporting the issue, after which you have to wait 30 days before filing the complaint.

Mentore2 years agoYou have 30 days from the expected delivery date to open the dispute, then you’ll have to wait 3 business days for the seller to find a solution, not 30!
It’s done now and it’ll be a lesson for next time.

OP2 years agoThank you for taking the time to reply to me, but it’s not as you say. Let me give you a brief timeline of what happened. On July 4 I buy some coins. On July 12 I notice from the tracking that the seller has still not shipped the goods and I write to them. No reply. On July 18 I report it to eBay. eBay tells me that it has asked the seller to respond, that I’m covered by the eBay guarantee, and that I can ask it to step in from July 24. At the same time (so still on July 18) it sends me this message: "you have closed this request. You don’t need to do anything else". From these words, I infer that my request has been accepted and I wait for the money to be refunded. Instead....

Mentore2 years agoBefore the automatic closure for inactivity, the only person who could close the dispute is the buyer.
So if you're sure you didn't let the deadline pass, you closed the dispute yourself.
Anyway, this discussion doesn't make much sense; if you want to get a refund, you need to follow the advice you've been given.

Mentore2 years agoIt means that you let the 21-day deadline expire and did not ask for a refund. For this reason, the dispute has been closed, with your tacit approval, and it will not be possible to open any others on ebay.
Try on the paypal site or with a chargeback, depending on the payment method you used. This time, read the terms and conditions of the procedure and respect the timelines described.
