Summary: gabrvec_73 is considering a purchase on eBay but is concerned about discrepancies between the product description and photos, which appear to be taken from the internet. Although the seller does not accept returns, gabrvec_73 wants to know if eBay's customer guarantee can still ensure a refund and force the seller to accept a return if the item doesn't match the listing. They seek clarification on eBay's intervention in such cases.
Good morning,
I’d like to ask for clarification before making a purchase.
I found an item for sale on eBay whose code matches the one I’m looking for. However, from the listing photos it seems to be a different product. I asked the seller to send me real photos of the item, but they replied that the images in the listing are taken from the Internet and did not provide me with photos of the item actually for sale.
In addition, the seller states that they do not accept returns.
I would like to know: if I buy the item and, once received, it turns out to be different from what was described or shown in the listing, can eBay step in even if the seller does not accept returns? In this case, is it possible to get a refund and have the seller be required to accept the return of the item through the eBay Money Back Guarantee?
Thank you for your support.

If the description and photos don’t match, it will definitely be different either from the description or from the photo.
If there are other sellers, avoid this purchase.
If you have no alternatives, ask through eBay messaging whether the item is the one you intend to buy with that specific code, letting them know that if you receive a different item, you will request a return for an item not matching the description. https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/restituisci-un-oggetto-cambio-di-un-rimborso?id=4041&st=7&po=2&uci=0&puc=DEFAULT_BUY.BUYER&ri=0
