Return at my expense
Good evening... I started a return request for an item that, in my opinion, did not arrive as described... An item described as being of quality but that has very little quality... I asked for a return and the listing said that it would be at my expense... Now what I’m asking is: does the seller still have to accept the return so that eBay can send me the instructions on how to generate and pay for the shipping label or tell me how to ship it, or is it enough that, as he did, he sends me a message saying to ship everything to his address? Because in the return status it still says "as soon as the seller responds we will send you an email....".
So I’m asking whether I should wait for the seller or whether I should handle it myself. Thanks.

Mentore3 years agoReturn shipping costs, by law, can be the responsibility of either the buyer or the seller. https://www.ebay.it/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/return-shipping?id=4066&st=3&pos=1&query=Spese%20di%20spedizione%20della%20restituzione%20-%20acquirenti&intent=spese%20di%20reso&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1152
They are the seller's responsibility if the item they sold is not as described in the listing (e.g.: I ordered a size L shirt and a S arrived).
They are the buyer's responsibility if the item does not meet their expectations, but it is what was described in the listing (e.g.: I ordered a size L shirt and a L arrived, but I don't like how it fits me).
So:
What the seller writes may be irrelevant.
