Item received from the seller. Refund pending and buyer account suspended
good evening everyone. thank god I’m not personally in this situation, but someone only told me about this experience as a warning to be careful since I use eBay and other online buying and selling sites quite often.
in a nutshell, I was told that a user bought a certain item on eBay. for his own reasons he sent it back and the seller received it. the usual 3 days were supposed to pass, if I remember correctly, for the seller to issue the refund, but instead after one day the buyer finds their account suspended without any explanation and the refund still pending, with no way to write to the seller and no eBay support chat.
this made me think a lot. I wonder, is it possible that the buyer lost both money and item? what happens in these cases?
and above all, how can you protect yourself from these situations? thanks.

it makes me think that your friend definitely went overboard with the return requests and eBay suspended him... objectively I don’t see any other reasons.
I think he should have his friend explain... the history of his presence on eBay.
