Return item
I need to return an item that doesn't work. Shipping is at my expense. The seller gave me this response. Who can help me understand whether it is correct or not? Thanks “Hello, we're sorry you've had this problem, to return the item to us, pack the item and when it arrives it will be tested. Include inside the BUYER'S USER NAME, reason for the return with request for exchange or refund.Address: ________ Note: To use this method you do not need to open nor have an active return case otherwise the system will not let us proceed in any way. Thank you very much.”

Mentore3 years agoIf the item was described as working, then it is not as described.
The seller's interests do not coincide with yours (even if a fair seller should not try to lead you astray), so do not do anything they advise.
Instead, follow eBay's instructions

Mentore3 years agoGiven the seller's behavior, do not close the return process for any reason and do not accept replacement or repair offers, only a refund.

OP3 years agoTo be honest, I feel very lost. I’m not used to these things and I really don’t know how to go about it. I don’t know how to return the item, meaning how to send it to the seller the way he requires. I was trying to print a label from eBay, but it won’t let me. Maybe the seller was supposed to send me a confirmation email accepting the refund? He didn’t send me anything, just that message I attached at the beginning. I bought some AKG headphones for my cell phone and they don’t work. On top of that, I bought them as originals, but they arrived without a box. But maybe that was specified in the listing and I didn’t notice. What I’m upset about is this return issue.

Mentore3 years agoOpen the return request with the eBay procedure, select item not as described among the reasons, and wait at least 3 business days. If within this time you do not receive a prepaid return label, ask eBay to intervene.
If right now you try to print a label, you will have to pay for it. If you receive one prepaid, check what it is, that is, whether you need to go to the post office or whether it is a courier who comes to your home.
In any case, always refer to the eBay pages I had attached.
