Return at my expense?
Hello. I bought an item that hasn't arrived yet. I contact the seller, who tells me that the shipment was delayed because of strikes in Asia. I open a dispute (the item did not arrive on time) and after a few days I get a refund because the shipping code is incorrect.
The seller contacts me and tells me that once the item arrives I will have to return it to him at my own expense. Is this procedure correct, or is there a way not to spend any more money on shipping?

Mentore2 years agoNo, the return shipping costs (in this case) are the seller's responsibility. An excessive delay is equivalent to a non-conformity.
So send them a message, through eBay messaging, telling them that the item has arrived, but since you have been refunded, it has reverted to their property.
Tell them that you will keep it in storage for 15 days, waiting for a prepaid return label. Also write that if they do not arrange the return, once this deadline has passed you will be forced to get rid of the item.
