RETURN OF AN ITEM THAT DOES NOT MATCH WHAT WAS REQUESTED
I bought two pairs of hip hop pants. I received work pants, completely different from the picture and the description. I started the return process as requested, at my own expense. I sent the tracking number and photos of the parcel. They denied me a refund and dragged it out long enough for the deadline to expire, so I paid for the returned pants and the shipping.
Neither the seller nor eBay behaved honestly, so I will never buy anything on eBay again.

OP2 years agoI sent it by regular mail, because they had told me that the shipping costs would be on me and would not be reimbursed. Anyway, the package must have arrived for sure. End of story, as I already said, I’ll never use eBay again

Mentore2 years agoAs you can see, you created the problem yourself, completely messing up the return procedure.
Whichever site you used to make the purchase, if you do things your own way then you take full responsibility for it.

OP2 years agoThe seller said it on the site that it was seen by ebay, or do they only see it when they send ads. Anyway, I'm done with ebay, period

On the site there are clear written rules to read... and those are what count, not chatter or outside communications.
Anyway, you're right to close with ebay, at least you avoid doing damage with feedback that is useless!

Mentore2 years agoYou're right to close with eBay, especially if instead of reading the rules you handle problems the way you handled this one. The fact is that the other sites are also pretty "tough" if you don't read the rules before venturing onto them.
Did the seller communicate it on the site that was seen by eBay, or does he only see it when he sends advertising.
This sentence is rather cryptic, honestly.

OP2 years agoI have bought items on other sites too, and sometimes I returned them. There were never any problems. This time I may also have made a mistake by not using the perfect procedure, but there was no fairness on their part either, that’s my opinion. Anyway, I don’t want to keep this argument going. Fortunately, eBay is not the only site to turn to when buying something.

There would have been fairness if you had used the "perfect procedure", as you call it.
Every site has its own rules, if you don't follow them you can't expect much, not just on eBay.

The seller took advantage of your "inexperience".
eBay behaves according to its own rules, it would be good to know them.

OP2 years agoebay behaved very badly; it sided with the seller, who claims not to have received the package. But that cannot be true. I sent the package to the supplier right away, but both he and ebay dragged their feet and in the end said that the deadline had passed and that the case had been closed. This is a plain and simple scam.

Mentore2 years agoThis is simply the result of someone who does not scrupulously follow the procedures that ebay provides for buyer protection.
99.9% of the time it’s always the buyer who wins; unfortunately, you were the 0.01% who did things their own way...
In the end, you scammed yourself.

OP2 years agoAt this point, there are no problems, I got a hell of a rip-off. I still think that both the seller and eBay were dishonest. One thing is certain: I will never buy anything on eBay again

Are you assuming it or do you know it? If you shipped with tracking, you should know for sure
