Return of blocked funds
Good morning, I'm not familiar with eBay. I had listed an item for sale and a buyer made an offer. Too bad I realized it too late, since the item had been sold through other means. Now it tells me that the funds are blocked (I actually haven't received any credit of that amount). How do I refund the buyer? If I click refund, it tells me it's impossible and I should add my own personal payment method. Something I don't want to do because I never received that money. Can the buyer withdraw the offer and get their blocked money back?

Mentore3 years agoGood morning,
you’re a new seller, so in principle eBay imposes a preventive hold on your account of at least 15 days.
If you want to refund your buyer in a “peaceful” way, you have to front the money out of your own pocket... after all, the rules make that clear... then eBay will pay your earnings into the account you indicated on your account once the hold has been lifted.
It’s something you have to do yourself; neither the buyer nor eBay can do it for you.
If the buyer opens a dispute against you, you’ll be forced to refund them; if you don’t, your presence on eBay ends here and debt collection will be initiated... then, probably, your funds will be released...
Kind regards.
