Returning an item purchased from abroad
I need to return an item I bought from Great Britain. The seller tells me that they can’t provide me with the return label because they don’t know Italian. And that I should pay for the shipping myself and then give them my PayPal account details and they will refund me the shipping cost. Also, for the customs duties, I should indicate that they have already been paid by the seller and that I shouldn’t have to pay them again. Do you think this is normal behavior? Thanks.

Mentore3 years agoIt depends on the reason for the return... if it's for an item that doesn't match, the seller has to take care of it, even if they don't understand Italian... Google Translate exists for them too...
The proper behavior would be to reimburse your return shipping costs right away and not wait for you to have to pay them upfront... keep in mind, though, that as far as the refund is concerned, the import fees and what was paid to the courier are lost.
