Return for a 40-year-old used item, working, it didn't work, then it did, and then it didn't work anymore.

Hello, I sold a Vintage item, an arcade game (electronic game board) as working with no warranty, because it is a used item from 30/40 years ago. The buyer now claims, about 7,10 days later, that it DOES NOT work; in fact he says it DID NOT work right away, as soon as he received it, then it worked, and then stopped working again, but the first time he didn’t say anything, then after 10 days he makes this return request... And he opened a dispute with eBay. I promptly sent the video I made before packing it for shipping (with photo screenshots showing the date and time of the video), where the game works perfectly... Now I expect the usual eBay procedure.. Return and refund to the buyer, but if the game, by his own admission, DID WORK, and this was then confirmed by my video, is it right to refund now?? Could he have caused damage or burned it out with an incorrect connection of the board, since it DIDN’T WORK, then it DID, and then it DIDN’T WORK AGAIN....?

A return has been requested for a non-compliant item (it was supposed to work but it doesn't), you have two options:

Accept the return and send a prepaid label to get your card back at your own expense. After receiving it, you refund everything.
Leave it to eBay to decide who is right. If eBay rules in the buyer's favor, it will refund from your account without worrying about getting the card back to you. In most doubtful cases, eBay rules in the buyer's favor (the videos you made cannot be considered evidence and will not even be taken into consideration).

You decide which risk you are willing to take.

Sorry, but maybe I wasn’t clear.... He said he didn’t contact me earlier because as soon as he tried it (installed badly or not correctly??), it didn’t work, THEN IT WORKED (and I assume for 1 week.....) Then it stopped working again and he asked for a refund saying it’s broken.. Just to be clear, it’s an item sold as used, seen and liked, with no guarantees.. Being an electronic item from 30 years ago...

So in any case I should refund?? And who’s to say he didn’t burn out the board, since he himself said it wasn’t working, then it was working and then it wasn’t working again.. And he contacts me after 15 days...?.... I’ve been selling for years, and if the item is working as described and then breaks afterward there shouldn’t be a refund, if it’s USED... NOT NEW WITH WARRANTY.

But unfortunately you sold on a marketplace and you have to accept the rules... so if the item doesn’t match the description or doesn’t work, whether it’s new, used, 10 years old or 40 years old, it makes no difference at all.

So follow carefully the TWO options Mario described to you... there aren’t any others!
