Return of Collectible Cups
Summary: A participant initiated a discussion about returning collectible cups. marioelegio responded to the initial post, followed by further interactions from both participants to address relevant queries and details.
Hello, I’d like your opinion: I sold 3 sets of Illy collectible cups, obviously never used, but they’re 30 years old, where they were stored, underneath the saucers they’re a bit dirty. The buyer had me put "new" (meaning never used) in the listing, then completed the payment, and once they arrived at their destination, they disputed everything, saying that if I mark it as new, the product has to be brand-new. The photos I uploaded in the listing showed these signs of wear...
now they’re asking me to take the return at my expense (Germany, 40 euros) or refund 50% of the sale value..
I feel scammed, what do you think?

Mentore10 months agoIt seems to me that you're the one talking nonsense. If you want to know what we think ...
If they weren't new, but were 30 years old, how could you have put the condition as new and how can you justify it by saying the buyer made you do it.
Anyway, you'll see that, unless he made some gross mistakes, they'll side with him and you'll be forced to take back the cups at your own expense.
bye

Mentore10 months agoThe scam was on your part, selling something as new when it wasn’t.
You’re the one who has to describe the condition of the goods, and you’re responsible for that. How is it possible that: "the buyer had me put "new" (meaning never used) in the listing".
Now it would be best for you to handle the return quickly, if you don’t want to lose money and the item.
bye
