Review feedback
Good evening, a customer left neutral feedback, I admit the mistake for an incomplete description and I ask
The buyer to revise the feedback, offering an immediate refund. He accepts my proposal, I issue the refund for the item and send the feedback revision; in the same private messages he shows me via screenshot that he can't modify it, I ask eBay to intervene and an absurd ordeal begins, they keep telling me that that feedback cannot be removed unless at the buyer's request, and they keep telling me to send a feedback revision. I have repeated a million times that I did this and that the whole conversation is visible in the messages, and according to them if they do not receive a voice call from the person concerned it is not possible to intervene.
Does this mean that if someone wants to play smart, eBay helps them out? I would appreciate opinions, thanks

Mentore2 years agoNeutral ones don't affect performance, plus you're a private seller... it shouldn't change anything for you, except for the refund

OP2 years agoAs a matter of principle, it’s absurd that eBay doesn’t refer to private messaging or, rather
Only in certain cases, this means helping the sneaky ones and all this does is make people lose trust in eBay

Mentore2 years agoEbay is helping you too... by letting you sell... you could also be considered a "sneaky" seller who, with a private account, pretends to be a merchant by selling new items in quantity.
Kind regards.

Mentore2 years ago👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I tried a couple of times, but you were rightly more explicit and direct.
Without getting a reply anyway... 😉

OP2 years agoThe buyer contacted them (a call that was confirmed to me)
And they, despite his approval, say that I should be the one to send the request to remove the feedback and then they
will ask him for authorization, all very strange

Mentore2 years agoYou see, at his job he's very good, he turns a deaf ear... "merchant"! 😂😂😂😂
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoOn the other hand, you understood very little

Mentore2 years agoMaybe it would have been better if you had stayed silent...

Mentore2 years agoThe tricksters are everywhere, online and "in person," on any marketplace.
The buyer made a promise and didn’t keep it, tempted by the refund, but he’s not the first and won’t be the last either.
Maybe it would have been better to be sure the feedback would be reviewed before refunding, although I seem to remember that years ago only negative feedback was subject to review, I’m not certain.
As a private seller anyway, a neutral can happen, it doesn’t change anything for you.

OP2 years agoMore than anything, having explained to eBay that due to a technical problem or the buyer's cleverness
The conversation remains visible and unquestionable but is not even taken
Into consideration

Mentore2 years agoIf you submitted the feed review form, are you also sure that the buyer accepted your request? If he really can’t accept it, he’s the one who needs to contact eBay customer service.
It seems normal to me that they’re telling you they’re waiting for his call.

OP2 years agoPrecisely because I’m not sure, I’m saying that eBay should also stick to the conversation and read that he agreed to change the feedback; otherwise something like this helps the sneaky ones who, like him, can also choose not to call, but there is written proof of his willingness to make a correction to the feedback

OP2 years agoIf it's a technical problem or a buyer's trick, eBay can verify it, so communicating via messages is not taken into consideration at all
