I receive a return request but I don't want to accept it | Questions and answers among users

I’m a private seller, and this is the first time something like this has happened to me, even though on eBay it’s pretty common. Last week I sold some PSP games, shipped them, and they were delivered on the 26th, but today, the 29th, I received a return request for the reason "I didn’t like it." It seems strange to me because anyone buying games knows what they’re getting, and on top of that they made the request three days after delivery, so I got suspicious. I sent a message asking why they didn’t like it and why the request was made three days later, and I got a reply saying it was supposed to be a gift, but the person who was supposed to receive it only opened the package the day before and was actually looking for PS3 games, so the buyer had misunderstood.That’s what they tell me, but honestly, having read various other forums on other sites about people who accepted returns only to find their items sent back damaged, or with something missing, or even other items like small bricks in their place, I don’t feel like accepting the request. On top of that, I see I’d have to refund the full amount, including shipping, and that annoys me quite a bit (especially if it was the buyer’s mistake, if that’s true), not to mention the fact that I consider it a hassle for me to return the money (as I said, I’m a private seller, not a professional seller or Amazon).That said, can I refuse? As I said, it’s an agreement between private parties, so I assume the rule "seen and liked" applies; the buyer made the mistake, and then who’s to say in what condition the games will come back to me, if I actually got those same games I sent and not something else...At worst, would I risk negative feedback? Anyway, it would be the first one since I’ve been on eBay since 2011, so I think I could ask eBay to remove it...
