Tablet received, but the charger is missing
Hello everyone,
On October 6, 2024 I purchased and paid via PayPal for a “SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S9 SM-X710 12/256GB GRAPHITE MEMORY”.
The listing said the following:
Charger included: The package also contains the Samsung 45W charger with USB-C, to charge your Galaxy Tab S9 (product code EP-T4510XBEGEU).
The package arrived on October 14, 2024. However, in the package I received, the Samsung 45W charger was missing. So, to test the tablet, I had to use a charger that was kindly lent to me. Since I did not receive the charger, I am forced to buy one, otherwise the tablet is unusable. I saw that on eBay the original Samsung 45W charger has a variable price.
On October 14, 2024 I wrote the following message to the seller, from whom I have not yet received a reply:
“Dear seller, I received the item today. I have just opened the package and I am reporting that the charger is missing both from the package and from the shipping box. In fact, in the listing the charger was listed among the included items "Charger included: The package also contains the Samsung 45W charger with USB-C, to charge your Galaxy Tab S9 (product code EP-T4510XBEGEU)" (OMISSIS). Could you kindly send it to me? Otherwise I will not be able to verify that it works properly. Thank you. Best regards”. I have not yet received any reply from the seller.
Could you tell me how I should proceed? Could I buy the charger on eBay and get a refund, or what could I do to get the charger without spending any more money?
The tablet works properly and I intend to keep it, since I need it for work. So I am not asking for any refund for the purchase of the tablet. I am only asking that we reach a solution so that I can receive the charger without any further expense on my part.
I should point out that I saved the listing page and also made an online backup of it. So I can easily prove what I am saying.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Mentore1 year agoIf it was indeed described as included, you can open a return request for a non-conforming item.
The seller can decide whether to issue you a partial refund or accept the return at their expense.
Remember that if they accept the return, you’ll have to send back the tablet.
In any case, you can always close the request... but expecting "someone" to reimburse you for the charger cost seems unworkable to me.
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoThanks a lot for the reply.
The tablet is perfect (new) and the price I bought it for was very competitive compared with any other offer I considered, both on eBay and elsewhere. If there’s no simple solution, I think I’ll buy the charger and just leave neutral/negative feedback for the seller or not leave any feedback at all.
Kind regards

Mentore1 year agoThe simple solution is to open a return request.
Maybe the seller will offer you a partial refund so you can buy the charger.
If they don't and ask you to return it, you can always still close your request.

OP1 year agoThank you, I didn't know that. In fact, after so many years of shopping on eBay, this is the first time I've found myself in a situation like the one described. I think I've received enough information on how to deal with the problem, and I thank you.
Kind regards
