Buyer cancellation request: accept or not
Good evening.
A buyer asked to cancel an order and I sent a message to find out why, without getting a reply (for 3 hours).
I wanted to understand whether there could be any issues if I decided not to accept their request? In the end I think I’ll accept the cancellation, but since it’s not the first time this has happened I’m also considering other options; what annoys me most is having to relist the items every time because the buyer changes their mind, and even paying the commission (albeit minimal for the refund)

Mentore3 years agoThe buyer could be upset and therefore, in addition to leaving negative feedback, could also return the item to you with an unjustified reason and make you pay for the return too...
So, as a simple courtesy, I don't see why not accept the request, even if you lose 35 cents...
Kind regards.

Mentore3 years agoGenerally speaking, since you're a private individual, you could refuse the cancellation. Anyway, in my opinion, it's not advisable because it exposes you to possible pretextual non-compliance claims.
