Request to hold shipment due to interest in other items.

Hello, I need some clarification regarding shipping and the timing set on my account.The buyer asked me to postpone shipping a couple of items by almost a week because they are interested in other items among my listings. How can I know whether this long wait won’t negatively affect my ratings and feedback, which are perfect and I don’t intend to tarnish them?Thanks for the clarification.
